USA Baseball released their roster for the 2019 Collegiate National Team Monday night, which includes Ole Miss freshman phenom Doug Nikhazy.

Nikhazy was added to the team as a two-way player, expected to work on the mound and in the outfield. This won’t be the first time he represents the country on the baseball diamond, as he participated in the USA Baseball 14U National Team Development Program.

Head coach Dan McDonnell and Team USA will host Cuba in the International Friendship Series from Tuesday-Saturday in various cities in North Carolina.

They’ll head to Taiwan on July 7 for the Chinese Taipei International Friendship Series, then head to Japan to finish the summer.

Nikhazy rose to stardom after a strong finish to his freshman season at Ole Miss, becoming the Rebels’ most reliable starting pitcher. He finished the 2019 season with a 9-3 record, holding a 3.31 ERA through 20 appearances and 14 starts.
