University of Mississippi students staged a die-in protest Wednesday in response to the recent death of Walter Scott, a black man from North Charleston, South Carolina. Scott was killed by police officer Michael Slager after an alleged altercation over the officer’s stun gun. The students lay on the ground for 20 minutes in the Ole Miss Student Union courtyard.
