Double Decker is almost here. It’s hard to believe we’re only three weeks away from graduation, but hopefully, this weekend will be a nice reprieve from all the stress caused by upcoming exams.
The Student Activities Association and Visit Oxford did a great job in getting some really cool artists for this year’s lineup. There’s a lot of funk and soul music, so you definitely shouldn’t get bored. Regardless of one’s experience with Double Decker, this year’s event looks like it may be the best one yet.
We’ll get to hear from the Como Mamas (my personal favorite), Tank and The Bangas, Houndmouth and Cold War Kids, who will be headlining. Though these artists will all perform on the official stage, local venues will have some incredible shows, as well. St. Paul and the Broken Bones will be playing Saturday night at The Lyric after the music ends on the Square. Be sure to get your ticket soon, because this concert is sure to sell out.
