Four-star dual-threat quarterback John Rhys Plumlee flipped his commitment from Georgia to Ole Miss Monday night.
The two-sport athlete from Oak Grove High School in Hattiesburg announced on Twitter that he would play football and baseball in Oxford rather than Athens. Plumlee is ranked the No. 13 dual-threat quarterback in the 2019 class, and his commitment sent waves across the SEC landscape just days before National Signing Day.

Plumlee verbally committed to the Bulldogs in June 2018 but reopened his recruitment in December. He was in Oxford for an official visit on Jan. 26. The quarterback also took official visits to Auburn, Florida State and Mississippi State during his recruitment.
Plumlee will join the Rebels’ projected-starter Matt Corral and fellow four-star Grant Tisdale in the quarterback’s room this fall.
