The Ole Miss Panhellenic Council hosted its inaugural Greek egg hunt on Sunday.
The egg hunt, which was free and open to the public, took place at 12:15 p.m. in the Grove. The event was put on by the fraternity and sorority communities of Ole Miss as entertainment for the families of Oxford and surrounding areas.
Attractions of the event, which were available until 3 p.m., consisted of craft stations and a cotton candy machine, as well as photos with the Easter Bunny. Different areas of the Grove were set up in order to attract children of different age groups.
This is the first year the Ole Miss Greek community has hosted an egg hunt. Sororities and fraternities from the Panhellenic, National Pan-Hellenic, and Interfraternity Councils assisted the Panhellenic Council by volunteering at stations or as event security. They also raised money to help fund the event and spread the word around campus and in Oxford.
