On May 10, Mississippi Gov. Phil Bryant gave a speech at the University of Mississippi’s 2014 Commencement Ceremony. In response to his recent signing of the Mississippi Religious Freedom Restoration Act (a bill that some say contradicts the university’s creed), many students and faculty members alike wore visible symbols of support for equal rights during the ceremony.
