Fashion at this year’s Double Decker Arts Festival

Double Decker Arts Festival brought a wide range of styles exhibited to Oxford this Saturday.  A few stood out in the crowd, and, considering the weather conditions, went above what was expected.  From modern cultural and traditional to hipster-esqe styles, it was definitely a fashion showcase on the Square this weekend.  We brought you some of our favorites!

De`ja Pocahontas Mays is a freshman Psychology/Pre-Med student at Ole Miss. She was sporting a tribal-themed top with fringe leggings and floral headband.

 

“My leggings are my favorite part of my outfit because they move when I walk.”

Maddy Gabor is a freshman here at Ole Miss. She said that her favorite item she was wearing was her tie-dye bathing suit beneath her dress.

Elizabeth Kelley and Emma Jablonski  were one cute pair found at the festival. Kelley is a sophomore Elementary Education major and Jablonski is a junior Spanish major.

Kelley said that she loved her top most. “My favorite thing is my shirt because it is really fun for the spring and festival season,” she said.

Jablonski, however, favored her shorts. “My favorite thing I have on is my shorts because I made them.”

Tasha Reynolds is a senior Psychology major who is experiencing Double Decker for the last time as a student. She was wearing a patterned romper and printed sunglasses.

Eric Shepherd sported his own style at the festival, catching our eye.

“My favorite thing is my hat,” Shepherd said. Ours too!

We loved Integrated Marketing Communication’s Grad student, Jesse McCraw in her blue dress and red kimono.

“My favorite thing I’m wearing is the kimono,” McCraw said. “I wear it all the time”

Sinclair Nkemdiche sported a cultural long shirt from a trip to Nigeria with tattered jeans and boots.

Toyosi Sanni, freshman International Finance major, and Robert Nkemdiche, freshman business major sported matching Timeless Generation shirts, an item from the previously mentioned Sinclair Nkemdiche’s line.

Alumni Jeff Watson sported a new urban look in his vintage tee and skinny jeans. He said that his David Allencoe shirt was his favorite item.

Junior Pharmacy major Lyn Tran was ready for summer with her shades and white-washed shorts.

“The t-shirt I stole from my Mom’s closet,” Tran said. “But my favorite item is my shoes.”

McClary Snow is a double major in Real Estate and Finance. Though her fringe purse and flowing top was too cute, she said that her favorite item was her Vanessa Mooney ring.

Bill Sharman is an Ole Miss alumni who came back to enjoy the Double Decker Festival. He said that his favorite item was his shirt from Geneva, Switzerland.

Charlie Mars was our last subject, sporting the rugged but urban white linen. He said that his boots were his favorite item.

 

This is only a glimpse at the multitude of different people and styles at Double Decker, to experience them all you simply must be there.
