Ole Miss found themselves in an early hole, as South Carolina took a five-point lead in the halftime locker room The Gamecocks led by as many as 15 with 10:53 to play, but the Rebels used a strong finish to grab the 75-71 comeback win.

Ole Miss (15-6, 6-2 Southeastern Conference) turned the ball over six times in the first half and came out stagnant in the second half. The Rebels had a stretch of 5;02 without scoring a basket, and South Carolina (8-13, 1-7 SEC) capitalized on it.

The Rebels had a late rally, using energy from the fans, key stops and crucial turnovers down the stretch by the Gamecocks.

Junior guard Jarvis Summers knocked down a clutch three pointer to give the Rebels the lead at 67-66 with 3:22 left to go in the game. Summers again dealt a crossover to a defender and pulled up for the jumper to again the Rebels the 69-68 lead with 1:52 left in the game.

Freshman forward Sebastian Saiz came up with a key rebound on a mis from senior guard Marshall Henderson in which head coach Andy Kennedy called a timeout to set up a play.

The Rebels pulled it out 75-71 in the waning seconds against the Gamecocks.

Kennedy was frustrated with the way his team played, but was also proud of how they fought back from being down 15 to pull out the win.

Ole Miss returns to action Tuesday night at Kentucky.
