The University of Mississippi chapter of the  NAACP hosted a rally this afternoon to put pressure on the Associated Student Body Senate to pass a resolution removing the state flag from campus.

After the rally concluded, pro-flag supporters  from the International Keystone Knights chanted and held Confederate flags in front of Fulton Chapel.

“Black lives don’t matter,” member Shaun Winkler said.

The International Keystone Knights were escorted from the circle to the front of Fulton Chapel.

Chants bantered back and forth between students and the Knights.

The Knights were escorted off campus after about 20 minutes.

The Daily Mississippian will continue to update this story throughout the day.
