Ole Miss’ biggest recruiting weekend is upon us, and according to Rebelgrove.com, this is the list of official visitors that will be in Oxford this weekend. Sports editor Collin Brister and football beat writer Cody Thomason make predictions regarding some of the Ole Miss’ targets as signing day approaches.

Jonathan Kongbo
Cody Thomason : It’s likely between Ole Miss and Tennessee for the junior college defensive end, and Ole Miss seems to have to taken the lead as of late.
Prediction: Ole Miss.
Collin Brister: Ole Miss seems to have all of the momentum late. Tennessee is always dangerous with Butch Jones.
Prediction: Ole Miss

Shyheim Carter
Cody Thomason: Alabama and Ole Miss are in a tight race for the four-star athlete. In the end, I think Alabama is able to keep their lead and land Carter.
Prediction: Alabama.
Collin Brister: Carter has been an Ole Miss lean for a while. LSU is coming on strong, and Nick Saban is always a handful to deal with.
Prediction: Ole Miss

Deontay Anderson
Cody Thomason: LSU and Texas are also in the game for Anderson, but I think the Rebels will ultimately land the safety.
Prediction: Ole Miss.
Collin Brister: I’ll be shocked if Deontay Anderson doesn’t sign with Ole Miss.
Prediction: Ole Miss

Jeffrey Simmons:
Cody Thomason: The five-star Mississippi defensive end has had plenty of interest from Alabama and Mississippi State, but Ole Miss has a very comfortable lead at this point.
Prediction: Ole Miss.
Collin Brister: People forget how good Jeffrey Simmons is, but the kid is an immediate-impact defensive lineman. I think Simmons will sign with the Rebels.
Prediction: Ole Miss

Mykel Jones
Cody Thomason: Jones seems to have narrowed his choices to Ole Miss and Alabama, and named Ole Miss his leader a few weeks ago. I expect Jones to join a stacked receiver group for the Rebels.
Prediction: Ole Miss.
Collin Brister: While Alabama and other suitors are emerging, I expect Jones to sign with Ole Miss.
Prediction: Ole Miss

AJ Brown
Cody Thomason: It comes down to Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Alabama in the first for Brown’s services next season. I think Mississippi State is able to keep the hometown prospect.
Prediction: Mississippi State.
Collin Brister: He’s from Starkville.
Prediction: Mississippi State

Terrell Hall
Cody Thomason: It’s hard to gauge where Hall will go before his visit to Ole Miss, as Florida State and Alabama are both going after him hard.
Prediction: Alabama.
Collin Brister: I think Ole Miss has a shot, but I don’t think they win every recruitment against Alabama.
Prediction: Alabama

Kobe Jones
Cody Thomason: Ole Miss has been working hard to try and lure Jones away from his hometown Bulldogs. Still, It’s difficult to imagine Jones leaving for Oxford.
Prediction: Mississippi State.
Collin Brister: He’s from Starkville.
Prediction: Mississippi State

Nigel Knott
Knott’s father played at Ole Miss, and I expect Nigel to make the same decision and play cornerback for the Rebels, though Alabama, Oregon and Mississippi State are still interested.
Prediction: Ole Miss.
Collin Brister: I think Knott may be a kid that wants to leave the state. He’s freakishly athletic.
Prediction: Alabama

Keith Simms
Cody Thomason: Simms has had some late interest from the Rebels, but North Carolina has the lead and will probably land him.
Prediction: North Carolina.
Collin Brister: I think Ole Miss gets either Juarez or Simms. I’ll go with Simms.
Prediction: Ole Miss

D’Vaughn Pennamon
Cody Thomason: Pennamon has been committed to the Rebels since September, but Alabama is making a late push for the Texas running back.
Prediction: Alabama
Collin Brister: Pennamon has shown interest in Texas A&M and Alabama as of late. Will the Rebels hold on?
Prediction: Texas A&M.

Mique Juarez
Cody Thomason: The top outside linebacker in the country, Juarez recently said Ole Miss, Alabama and UCLA were all tied in the race for his signature. In the end, I think UCLA is able to keep him in California.
Prediction: UCLA
Collin Brister: Ole Miss fought the good fight. Some you win, some you lose.
Prediction: Alabama
