University officials have confirmed that Anastasia Hirsch, a sophomore business major from Melbourne, Florida, died Wednesday.
Florida Today reported Hirsch was a passenger in a car traveling during a thunderstorm and may have hydroplaned, causing it to collide with another car in Indialantic, Florida. Two recent graduates of Florida Institute of Technology were also seriously injured.
According to Florida Today, alcohol was not a factor in the death and no charges have been filed at this time.
