University police charged a third-year law student with misdemeanor trespassing Nov. 6.
According to Director of Public Relations Danny Blanton, the student was suspended earlier this week for making threatening comments to another student, and as part of the terms of suspension, he is not permitted on The University of Mississippi campus.
A current student spotted the suspended student during the late morning of Nov. 6 near Guyton Hall. The student alerted UPD, and the suspended student was apprehended and subsequently charged.
The suspended student is currently in the custody of UPD, and his reasons for entering campus today are not clear at this time. His name has not been released due to legal privacy disclosure.
