Members of the International Justice Mission at Ole Miss are sponsoring a Thanksgiving benefit dinner Thursday evening to raise funds and awareness for the cause of fighting slavery globally.
Sponsored by Holli’s Sweet Tooth, McAlister’s, North Oxford Baptist Church, The Life Church, Oxford Nazarene Church, The Orchard and St. John’s, the dinner will be held at the Baptist Student Union on University Avenue from 6-8 p.m.
Tickets are $5 and can be purchased in front of the Union any day this week.
Organization president Gabrielle Barrientos said that as of Monday morning, some 30 tickets had been sold.
Members hope to sell a minimum of 75 tickets and encourage all students and faculty to attend.
