The NCAA’s investigation into the Ole Miss football program is finally complete. On Monday, Vice Chancellor for Intercollegiate Athletics Ross Bjork announced that, as part of the penalties delivered from the NCAA, the football program has been forced to vacate 33 wins over a seven year span.

Ole Miss will vacate four wins from 2010, two from 2011, seven from 2012, seven from 2013, eight from 2014 and five from 2016. They will hold on to their 2013 Music City Bowl and 2015 Sugar Bowl victories but will relinquish the 2012 BBVA Compass Bowl win — Hugh Freeze’s first bowl win as head football coach.

Rather than responding negatively, members of the Ole Miss community took to Twitter in jest. Former Ole Miss football players, professors and alumni all weigh in.
