Attempted strong-arm robbery at Campus Walk

University Police received a report of an attempted strong-arm robbery that occurred at Campus Walk apartments between 2:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. Sunday morning. UPD was unavailable for comment.

According to the crime alert released Sunday by UPD, the victim said the attacker blocked her in the stairway and grabbed her, asking if she had any money and she replied, “No.” The attacker released her and fled toward the pool area in the complex when someone came out of an apartment and yelled, “Are you alright?”

The attacker was described as a light skinned black or dark skinned Hispanic male who was approximately six feet tall, medium to muscular build with short, dark hair and was last seen wearing dark clothing.
