Tuesday afternoon, Kimbrely Dandridge took her final action as Associated Student Body president by signing an executive order that created a task force charged with representing the National Pan-Hellenic Council member bodies on campus.
Dandridge tweeted that the task force will make a proposal for NPHC housing space by September 2013 to the newly installed ASB administration.
Speaking Tuesday, Dandridge said she is excited for the new beginning represented by Gregory Alston’s installment as the new ASB president.
“I am excited for Gregory and his entire cabinet, ” Dandridge said.
“The inauguration is a special time for the student government. It’s a time of reflection from the past year and a hope for new beginnings for the future.”
Alston said he is ready to begin work in the ASB.
“I want everyone to enjoy the rest of their week and Easter,” Alston said Tuesday after being installed at 2:30 p.m. in the Lyceum.
“I have to attend a lot of meetings, and we will be having our first cabinet meeting hopefully on Sunday.
“We will get to work on some of my platform ideas, but we will not start all of them at once.”
