BABY MAMA DRAMA
Eighteen-year-old Tonisha Johnson is one of five suspects in the murder of Andre Taylor of Mantachie. This week, Johnson was taken from the jail to a nearby hospital to give birth to a baby girl. According to Itawamba County Sheriff Chris Dickinson, Johnson didn’t realize she was pregnant when she became an inmate. Dickinson said this is the first time the county has had a pregnant inmate. According to the Clarion-Ledger, if the charges against Johnson had been less serious, the county would have found a way to keep her out of custody while carrying the child. The baby is currently in her grandmother’s custody and the county is facing a hospital bill of $10,000.
ZZ TOPPLE
Rock legend ZZ Top was expected to play this Friday in Biloxi. Unfortunately, due to an injury to bass player Dusty Hill, the band will have to reschedule. According to Gulf Live, 66-year-old Hill was injured last Thursday while getting on stage during their show in Lubbock, Texas. He tripped trying to walk up steps and fell and fractured his shoulder. Hill released a statement following the injury. “My physicians told me that this type of injury is usually associated with contact sports,” Hill said in the statement. “I’m not sure bass-playing qualifies as such but they’re doing their best to get me back in the game as soon as possible.” The show has been rescheduled to Oct. 21. Fingers crossed for a quick recovery. But hey, he’s 66 and still rockin’. Respect.
THE WINDMILLER BENEATH MY WINGS

10 POINTS FOR SLYTHERIN
Walls Elementary School in Walls, Mississippi had an unexpected visitor on Tuesday. During class, a grey snake fell from the ceiling and landed right next to the teacher’s desk. According to WTVA News, the incident undoubtedly shocked the students when it happened, but most people are not surprised it did. Walls Elementary is located in a field, which makes it susceptible to visits from different creatures. Recent farm work has forced the snakes to flee the fields and relocate. This particular snake was in it for the snack breaks and nap time, maybe. The visitor turned out to be non-venomous and pest control was called to handle the situation. His recess privileges have been permanently revoked.
