In this week’s Word on the Street, Ole Miss students talk about their expectations for the Grove this Saturday.
“I expect it to be packed because it’s the first home game. I think the Rebs are going to win by a lot.”
Josh Patton, a freshman civil engineering major from Oxford.
“I expect for it to be fun and adventurous. I’m very excited because it’s my first time in the Grove.”
Destiny Herron, a freshman biology major from Greenville.
“I’m not really sure what to expect. Everybody talks about how cool it is. I’m not from here, so I’m not sure what to expect, but I’m sure it’s gonna be tons of fun.”
Brittany Ferguson, a freshman forensic chemistry major from Augusta, Georgia.
“It’ll probably be hot. I’m sure it’ll be really exciting and fun. Everybody will have good energy because it’s our first home game and everyone’s excited to be at the Grove for the first time this year.”
Sarah Criddle, a senior chemistry major from Jackson.
“I think it’s going to be packed. There are going to be so many tents and tailgates. Hopefully we’re going to win, but it’s definitely going be packed. It’s going be a good time.”
Carrie Hancock, a junior exercise science major from Madison.
“There’s going to be a lot of people, red and blue trashcans, good food and solo cups.”
Mary Elizabeth Pace, a sophomore exercise science major from Madison.
“I’m excited. I think it’s going be a lot of fun. I expect to eat a lot of food.”
Victor LeBlanc, a freshman business major from Baltimore, Maryland.
“I expect Southern hospitality in its purest form.”
John Touloupis, a freshman economics and broadcast journalism major from Birmingham, Alabama.
