The Study Abroad office said no Ole Miss students are stationed in Amatrice, Italy, where multiple news outlets report at least 247 people have died in a 6.2-magnitude earthquake early Friday morning.
The office is currently checking in on its students in Italy, a popular destination for traveling college students. Emails will be sent to ensure the students are unaffected.
