Ole Miss freshman defensive end Charles Wiley was arrested and charged with domestic violence on Monday.
According to the Clarion-Ledger, a 21-year-old female named Legend Fultz was also arrested for domestic violence at the same time as Wiley and by the same officer.
“We are aware of the situation and recognize the proper authorities are responsible for the matter,” head coach Hugh Freeze said of the incident. “Charles is being withheld from all team activities while the process moves forward. We take incidents like this very seriously and will make decisions once the course of action is complete.”
Wiley was an early enrollee to Ole Miss in January and previously ranked as a four-star recruit and the 20th best weak-side defensive end in the country.
