Every Friday is open mic poetry night at Mugg Cakes, with catchphrases like “batter up!” uttered every time a new poet steps on stage to perform.
PoeTreats is an event Derek and Karrian Brown recently began with their two daughters after opening the bakery. The event encourages a safe space for poetry and spoken word.
