Black History Month events kick off at Student Union

The University of Mississippi held its Black History Month Kickoff Celebration Wednesday at the Student Union.

A performance by the UM Gospel Choir preceded the delivery of the kickoff address by assistant sociology professor Barbara Combs and the presentation of the Lift Every Voice Awards.

The observance of Black History Month is ongoing at Ole Miss, and a full schedule of events is available through the UM Communications website.
